my story
From a young age, I’ve always been captivated by flowers. Over time, this has grown into a passion for captivating wedding flowers, creating hand tied bouquets and floral designs inspired by nature.
As a child, I loved Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies series of books – enchanted by the stories of each fairy and its flower. I adored the books so much that I was inspired to write my own flower fairy tales, complete with childlike sketches of the beautiful art nouveau illustrations.
Fast forward a few years and my creative side continued to flourish, whist my love of gardens and flowers continued to grow. I was particularly inspired by my grandad’s garden, which offered plentiful homegrown fruit and veg, and dotted with pink fuchsias planted by my late grandmother.
Planning our wedding reignited my interest in flowers. Having beautiful wedding flowers on our big day was an important factor for me. I was lucky enough to work with an incredible wedding florist who perfectly captured everything I desired and more.
As part of the planning process, I visited our florist at her studio at New Covent Garden in London and had the opportunity to explore the flower market with her… I was smitten from that moment.
I also discovered that the flower market was just round the corner from my family’s old pub where my grandad was born in the 1920s. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, so I took this as a sign that I should explore the world of floristry.
Luna Rose was born & the rest, they say, is history…
